My Photography Studio in Bracken Village - A Dream Come True in San Antonio, TX

For many years, I was a location-only photographer, which meant that I didn’t have a studio of my own and either rented one or conducted my sessions out on location at various parks, downtown, small local towns or even lakes and rivers. This worked for a long time, but eventually I wanted something more permanent, somewhere to hang my beautiful wall art and a place to photograph that wasn’t dependent on perfect weather.

As I began searching, I kept coming back to beautiful Bracken Village. It’s a gorgeous property of little cottages in NE San Antonio with white picket fences, lush trees and colorful landscaping. At first, the only building available to me was a tiny shack, with no plumbing and no real shooting space. I jumped on it and happily conducted my consultations and order appointments there for 3 years, until finally a larger building became available.

The icing on the cake was that the building is green (my favorite color) and it’s #11 (my favorite number) :D

I’ve been there almost 5 years now, and I love it more now than I did in the beginning. I have the entire property for my shoots, we’ve done seniors, families, maternity, the 40 Over 40 Project, even headshots both outdoors and inside the studio. I can’t imagine ever leaving this stunning location and I hope I never have to.

Here’s a recent Senior session taken entirely on the studio grounds:
